JBM is Joe, Ben and Luke. Three people, one company, and the same faces from the first site visit to the last sweep of the drive.
Joe and Ben set JBM up in 2024 after years of working on other people's sites, with a fairly simple view: the person who quotes your garden should be the person who builds it.
Since then it has grown by exactly one person and not one subcontractor. Luke came on, and that's still the whole company. It means we take fewer jobs than we're asked to. It also means nobody turns up to your house who hasn't stood in your garden and worked out how it's going to go together.
Most of our work comes from people who've seen a job we did for a neighbour, or found us on Instagram. We've never spent anything on advertising. Thirteen reviews later, all of them five stars, that still seems to be working.
You get in touch
WhatsApp, a call or the form, whichever is easiest. A couple of photos of the space helps more than a long description.
We come and look
Free, and no obligation afterwards. We measure up, work out where the water goes, and tell you what we'd do, including the things you might not have thought about, like whether the existing patio is bridging your damp proof course.
Drawings and a written quote
Sketches so you can see the shape of it, and a written quote with the materials listed, so you know what you're paying for rather than a single number at the bottom of a page.
We build it
Same three people, every day, with an update at the end of each one. If you change your mind halfway through, say so. Most people do, and it's usually easier to sort while the digger's still there.
We clear up and go
Site swept, waste taken away, nothing left behind for you to deal with. It's the part people mention in reviews more than anything else, which tells you something about the trade.

Oxfordshire, mostly. It's where we're based and where nearly everything we've built is. But we're not precious about a boundary line on a map. If it's the right project we'll travel for it, so it's worth asking.
